Hi,
I am a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia. My PhD study, entitled “Social and Educational Exclusion/Inclusion of Turkish Immigrant Youth in Canada” seeks to explore the educational and social experiences of Turkish immigrant youth in Vancouver, Canada. You are being invited to take part in this research study, if you are a Turkish immigrant youth (first or second generation Turkish immigrant youth who was born in Canada or elsewhere, aged 15-25) who currently lives in Vancouver. Your insights will be extremely valuable to this project. Your participation means that you are participating in the creation of new knowledge about the diverse experiences of an understudied population; Turkish immigrant youth in Canada. In recognition of your contribution to this project, you will receive an honorarium of $15 prior to the first interview.
I greatly appreciate your consideration and time in that matter.
Regards, Dilek Kayaalp PhD candidate,
