PRESS RELEASE

TURKISH-CANADIANS ARE HURT!! WILL THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF TURKISH-CANADIANS?

WE ARE INVITING THE RACIST LOBBYISTS TO CEASE THEIR ACTIVITIES FOR A PEACEFUL CANADA

A strong ethnic lobby is trying to pass a law (M-380/M-377) by The Canadian Government that would result in racism against Turkish-Canadians.

This is not a country to bring ancient hatred and revive it!!

The Turkish-Canadians are tired of being harassed by what has allegedly happened in another continent close to a century ago. Before the Turkish Republic era, when there was an empire called the Ottoman Empire there were wars, and civil wars where hundreds of thousands were killed. These included Turks, Armenians, Greeks and Kurds among other ethnic groups and nations.

Turkish-Canadians have never pointed a finger to any of the ethnic groups in Canada for “revenge” of the past. Instead they are happy to integrate to Canada and peacefully live along with other ethnic groups ever after. They look for similarities that bonds them, rather than fuelling old hatred.

We are asking our government to protect us. We immigrated to Canada to have peaceful lives. We are welcome all ethnic groups. We have an international children’s celebration day every year where we invite all children of all ethnic backgrounds to celebrate and unite. We do not want the ancient hatred continue in our newfound land.

We are astonished that our government might become a tool in hands of ethnic lobbyists whose only goal is to pass hatred to new generations. Armenian-Canadian director Atom Egoyan’ s latest film Ararat is a biased portrayal of the past, and has a very strong message to continue hatred towards Turkish-Canadians in Canada. Canadian Grants were used shoot such a horrible propaganda film. The film also has no artistic value. Its sole purpose is to be used as a propaganda tool for creating hatred towards Turks and Turkish-Canadians. Again, this film was funded by Canadian grants. The money included Turkish-Canadian taxpayers’ money!!! It is unbelievable where our tax money is spent!!! The release of the film was not a coincidence. Soon after, the ethnic lobby is trying to pass a law against Turks.

In the name of revenge, Armenian Terrorist organization ASALA killed hundreds of Turkish Diplomats all over the world in the 70’s, including the Turkish Diplomat in Ottawa.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! Canada should not accommodate any ethnic group’s racist activity to another. Worse, The Canadian Government should not become a tool for racist activity. Just because we are not pointing fingers at any ethnic group does not mean that we should be bulldozed by bullies. Racism is against the essence of being Canadian.

WE WANT OUR RIGHTS TO BE PROTECTED!! WE DO NOT WANT OUR CHILDREN TO CARRY THE BURDEN OF ANCIENT HISTORY THAT TOOK PLACE IN ANOTHER CONTINENT AND ANOTHER ERA.
